Personal care

Assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Housekeeping

Cleaning and maintaining the resident's living area and ensuring that it is safe and comfortable.

Mobility assistance

Helping residents to move around safely and providing assistance with walking aids such as canes, walkers, or wheelchairs.

Record-keeping

Maintaining accurate records of the residents' care, including medication schedules, vital signs, and any changes in their condition.

Emotional support

Providing emotional support and companionship to residents and being a compassionate listener.

Medication management

Ensuring that residents take their medication on time and in the correct dosage as prescribed by their healthcare providers.

Meal preparation

Preparing and serving meals that meet the dietary requirements of the residents.

Social activities

Organizing and leading activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation, such as games, outings, and arts and crafts.

Communication

Keeping family members, healthcare providers, and other members of the care team informed about the residents' condition and any changes in their care plan.

As an assisted living carer, you will work closely with other members of the care team, including nurses, social workers, and doctors, to ensure that residents receive the best possible care. You will also be responsible for observing and reporting any changes in residents’ condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
